Kayak Rentals on Piscataway Creek - May through September
Launch from our dock on beautiful Piscataway Creek, where you can enjoy a relaxing day exploring tidal freshwater marshes, beaches, islands, and terrific views of Mount Vernon and Fort Washington! No reservations needed. We usually have plenty of boats.
Hours: Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 5.
Directions: Fort Washington Marina, Fort Washington, MD 20744. FROM THE BELTWAY, Take Exit 2A or 3A (depending on the direction of travel) to Indian Head Highway South (Route 210), just east of the Wilson Bridge in Maryland. Travel SOUTH on Route 210 for approximately 4-5 miles and turn RIGHT onto FORT WASHINGTON ROAD. Continue approximately 3 miles, almost to the end of Fort Washington Road and turn LEFT on WARBURTON DRIVE at the sign for the Fort Washington Marina. Proceed 1 mile to the marina, following the signs.
We are located at the far left (east) end of the marina. The restrooms and showers are in the large grey building to your right as you enter the marina, and we have a clean portable toilet near our building. Please park in any spot that could not accommodate a vehicle and trailer. See you there!
The Fort Washington Marina is approximately 12 minutes from the beltway and 20 minutes from Alexandria.

Plastic Sea Kayaks* and Tandem Open-Cockpit Kayaks

Please add 6% Maryland sales tax
*For safety reasons, sea kayaks with closed decks are available only to those individuals who have learned and practiced solo and assisted rescue techniques.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have a release completed and signed by parent or guardian. Children under 12 years old must be in a tandem with an adult. Minimum age is 5 years.
A credit card deposit is required on rental kayaks.
For safety reasons, we rent kayaks when the water is at least 50 degrees.
