  • Sunset Tours
Eagles, osprey, beaver, otter, turtles, lots of other critters and the sounds of nature.  Sunset is one of the most beautiful times to be on the water.  This is when we most often see beavers and fox.  You have a choice of single or tandem kayaks at this location.  No experience required -- a brief lesson is included, and we use stable, easy to use kayaks.

Only 20 to 30 minutes from Washington, DC, and Alexandria, Virginia, but you're in a whole other world!

What a different way to see Washington, DC.  Kayak under the Memorial Bridge and others where you can see the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, Kennedy Center, and lots more!  Of course one of tours wouldn't be complete without a slice of nature, so we'll paddle to Roosevelt Island, a nature sanctuary, where we sometimes see wood ducks, night herons and other birds, along with freshwater marsh plants.  A great trip for locals and visitors alike.  We use double kayaks for this tour.
